Mark Ray
Mark Ray is an education professional with more than 15 years of experience in teacher training, Information and Communication Technology (ICT) resource development, ICT integration, project management and procurement. Mr. Ray is a Director of the Optimist Club of George Town, Grand Cayman, a service club dedicated to programmes relating to the welfare of children, and he is currently employed by the Cayman Islands Government as the ICT Integration Specialist in the Ministry of Education.
Mr. Ray previously taught Information Technology and Mathematics, and then worked in the Ministry of Education in Barbados as part of the team implementing the national education reform programme. The programme encompassed curriculum reform, teacher training, building works and ICT integration.
Mr. Ray attended the University of the West Indies, Cave Hill Campus, Barbados where he obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science. He then studied at Teachers College, Columbia University in New York where he studied Instructional Technology and Media and was awarded a Master of Arts degree.
