April Cummings
April Cummings is the News Director of Cayman 27/CITN as well as the anchor for the nightly news “Broadcast 27 Tonight”.  Boasting a wealth of experience in the television industry; she was previously employed with KRON-TV and KPIX-TV CBS-5, both of San Francisco as an anchor and reporter.
Before her experience in San Francisco, Mrs. Cummings anchored at WREG in Memphis, Tennessee, and at KEYE-42 in Austin, Texas. While at KEYE-42, she received an Associated Press award for her feature reporting.
Mrs. Cummings began her career at the age of 5 in the Cayman Islands at the first radio station in the country, Radio ICCI-FM.  Over the years she worked as an announcer at Radio Cayman and after transitioning to television, rose to the role of Assistant News Director, Producer and Show Host at CITN/CTS in the early 90’s.

Mrs. Cummings holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mass Communication from Emerson College of Boston, and an Associate’s degree from the International College of the Cayman Islands.
